On Monday and Tuesday, February 18-19 history came alive as we walked in the footsteps of the historical events of the first century. Our first stop was the Old City in Jerusalem, where we visited archaeological sites from that time. After a great overnight stop in Ein Gedi, we woke up early on Tuesday morning and hiked up to the top of Metzada, the spectacular mountain top fortress built by King Herod.
