On Wednesday, February 6, we left the Chava and travelled to the Bedouin Tent in Mamshit, in the Negev Desert. We experienced Bedouin hospitality and learned about Bedouin culture. We sang around the Medurah (bonfire) and roasted marshmallows that night. On Thursday morning we rode camels in the desert and hiked in Ein Gedi, a nature reserve near the Dead Sea, where we learned about David and his encounter with King Saul.
